How a figure gets onto a page here, what is never allowed to influence one, and what the build refuses to publish.
Every figure is a count of records this corpus holds
There are only three kinds of number on this site: a count of records, a value read from a named source record with its identifier attached, and a label derived from the first two and marked as derived. No figure is estimated, rounded up, carried across from a similar compound, or written from memory.
A count is always a count of what this corpus carries. Every page that shows one also shows the number of records the underlying query returned, so the reader can see the size of the selection they are looking at.
What a derived label may never be used for
The corpus derives a record-set tier per compound. On this site it may appear only beside its own basis string, it may never be used to order a table, and it may never be described as an assessment of clinical efficacy, of safety, of study quality or of consensus. No page ranks compounds by anything, and no page recommends one.
Nothing here is sold
This publication sells no placement, no listing and no mention. No link, table row, record or ordering here has been paid for, and nothing on it is a recommendation of any supplier.
There is no sponsored slot, no paid listing, no affiliate link and no commercial relationship with any supplier of any compound named here. No payment could change which records are cited, how an endpoint set is defined, how a tier is derived, what any page says, or the order of anything. There is no mechanism on this site through which it could, which is a stronger guarantee than a policy.
What the build refuses to publish
- A page presenting the evidence of a compound that is withheld pending qualified clinical review. This is the one that currently holds back the whole site.
- A value marked as known with no record behind it, or a citation pointing at a record the page does not list.
- Any wording that frames a research chemical as something to take, in any surface including the page title, the description, the headings and the structured data.
- A page nothing links to, or a page more than three clicks from the front page.
- An endpoint the corpus cannot support. Every endpoint set on this site is built from subject headings that occur on records already in the corpus.
Each of those is a check in the build, not an intention. A failure stops the build and nothing is written at all.
Corrections
Every page carries the date its records were last checked and the name of the person who checked them. Where a record is withdrawn or a field is read differently on re-check, the value and its date change together. The review register records the review state separately, because a citation check is not a clinical one.
